Dynasty Warriors 6 PlayStation 3

one word excellent

I first played DW on the playstation 2 and thought it was good but alright graphics. When i saw it in the shops I had to buy it. I realy enjoy playing DW the combo kills and special attacks are realy good. Also every character gets a different wepon with different attacks. If you are looking for a fighting game i would highly recomend this , evan if you havnt played it. 8/10

Brilliant game.... ive had every single one of them and im still not bored.quite different from DW5 but still keeps the clasic formula that makes the series the best! 5 star

Ok so this is the first Dynasty Warriors game that i have fully committed to playing in the series, and overall its a fun Hack and slash game. BUT don't let that fool you into thinking there is no skill involved, specially when you reach the fairly testing difficulty level of "Master", where your main officers fairly frequently get rushed by the enemy in an attempt to force you to lose the battle. game play is very involved and if you run full force into battle there often so many enemies that you don't get a chance to fully admire the scenery. There are so many unlockables that if you love fully completing a game like myself, you will find yourself committing to multiple playthrough to fully upgrade the characters and also see all the storylines. graphically id say its average compared to a lot of games available on the PS3 but to its credit you only really pay attention to this during cutscenes as during battle, if your payin more attention to the scenery then the battle at hand, its 9 times out of 10 because you are about to lose the fight lol. all in all, its a good play, and definately worth playing if you just want to kill lots of peple and feel like an almighty warlord. a good game to pass the time from time to time, i see it as mainly a filler game to play between the big title releases to keep you busy.

Dynasty Warriors 6 in my eyes shows the potential that the PS3 has in creating the dream game in this genre. So with this outing we see less battles, less playable characters, a shorter musou mode and lack of usable items that we had in previous games. But to dismiss this game on those grounds would be short sighted, as we do need to take into consideration that the PS3 is still using new technology and it will take a while till we see its true power, but for now we see the potential. That being said it cannot be overlooked that graphics have improved and the game engine itself shows a distinct improvement, yet to some it can still be seen as repetitive but if that is your view then steer clear of any game in this genre, or any game in general as shooting gets repetitive, driving gets repetitive and so on. So the game does harbour positives, graphics, game play but if you are looking for a longer game, lots to unlock and own the 60 gig PS3 or a PS2 then the best bet is stick with DW5.
