Cursed Mountain Product Details

Released on 04/09/2009

Set in the late 1980s, gamers will take on the role of a fearless mountaineer as he climbs into the Himalayas on a quest to find his lost brother. As he ascends the mountain, he encounters an ancient curse: the souls of the people who died in that region are stuck in limbo, caught in the Shadow World. Villagers, pilgrims, mountaineers and Buddhist monks – dead but not yet reincarnated – are all that is left on the mountain. Terrible visions will disorient him, and ghosts and demons block his path. But the question remains – is his brother still alive?

Cursed Mountain
Cursed Mountain was, and is still regarded as, a creepy and sometimes freaky game on the Wii. Some of the most advanced and detailed graphics on the Wii help to make the whole snowy mountain environment feel more realistic, which helps to make the creepy atmosphere greater. The story is quite gripping, telling of two brothers' bond which shows what one will do to rescue the other, that will genuinely make you want to keep playing. Some things are a tad annoying, for example when you are battling a couple of ghosts that are approaching by sending a blast from your pickaxe and the ghost is close to being defeated, a red symbol appears on its chest. Pressing A on this symbol, you are given a chain of motion commands to do with your Wii Remote and Nunchuk to defeat the ghost, but sometimes the Nunchuk does not respond, which is annoying if you are fighting a large crowd of angry ghosts. 9/10

Cursed Mountain
Excellet game, I play it through the HDMI cable ad graphics are very good, agree with theprevious reviewer, walkinng and ruing are almost identical but it's a minor thing. camera angle takes a little gettig used to, ut get through the first half hour and it will have you sucked in, I bought this game having completed Resident Evil 4 and this is inn a lot of ways very similar, RE4 is better but this is a very close second and well worth buying

Cursed Mountain
Cursed Mountain is a rarity in today's gaming world: a genuinely creepy game, with mature themes, on the Wii. Gameplay - 7/10 - nice ideas, well executed. could have done with more attention to some elements (like walking/running being virtually the same) Controls - 8/10 - responsive controls make the game feel very solid, but are let down by lack of camera control Visuals - depends - if you play this game through a HDMI cable, you might mistake it for an Xbox title, with some very nice, crisp details. However, if you don't have a HDMI cable or a HDTV, the visuals do appear a little bland at times. Strabgely, the environment looks just as superb, regardless of which set-up you use. Overall - 8/10 - well worth a buy, if you can forgive the little things
