Already a smash hit on Nintendo DS, players will feel the heat in the Wii kitchen this time around as they don the apron of a budding young chef under the watchful gaze of Mama. Create dishes from a dazzling menu of everyday snacks and gourmet meals using the sensitive and sophisticated Wii remote and nunchuk controllers. The combined control inputs allow for much greater sensation of realism and depth when preparing dishes for the kind but perfectionist Mama, and is just one of a whole breadbasket full of new additions and features for the Wii version of the mega-selling cooking simulation.

  • Cooking Mama stirs up two million UK sales Bookmark and Share

    505 Games is celebrating after its smash hit series Cooking Mama notched up its two millionth sale in the UK.

    Since debuting on Nintendo DS back in 2006, the franchise has proven to be one of gaming's biggest surprise success stories, spawning eight different instalments on DS and Wii and shifting 12 million units worldwide.

    The minigame extravaganzas star the lovable Mama, who has since branched out beyond the kitchen to star in titles such as Gardening Mama, Babysitting Mama and Cooking Mama World: Hobbies & Fun.

    Ralph Pitt-Stanley of 505 Games said: "The phenomenal success of the franchise ... proves what can happen when you have an instantly adorable character [and] simple yet challenging gameplay."

    Mama will be seen again soon in two brand new games coming this month, the first of which is Cooking Mama World: Outdoor Adventures for DS, an outdoor pursuits experience.

    Meanwhile, Cooking Mama 4 will see the series make its debut on Nintendo 3DS, featuring amazing visuals and four-player wireless gameplay.

"Cooking mama" provide quality bonding for the family, with a bit of practise you can be up and running and become the best chef in the house. The game has slightly advanced hand controlls needed in some of the more complex recipies, but all together it is suitable for the whole family. Ok so the instructions are not so clear on the game, yet niether is the tedious oriental charcter that saye "better then mama" every time you do well. Nevertheless the great game play mean that "cooking Mama" can provide hours of endless fun. 9/10

well its a good game there are 3 down points though 1. you can understand what she is saying 2. the instructions are not clear 3. some of the recipies are a bit to long.but overall i still recomend it 8 out of 10
