- The cowardly Pokémon Helioptile, a Normal- and Electric-type Pokémon, can generate enough electricity through sunbathing to power machinery. But wise Trainers won't be deterred by Helioptile's lack of bravery. It knows Parabolic Charge, a brand-new move where Helioptile attacks everything around it. Helioptile's HP is restored by half the damage taken by those hit.
- Fletchling, a Normal- and Flying-type Pokémon, sings with a beautiful chirp that is sure to delight any Trainer. Although it is known to be very friendly, Fletchling will suddenly unleash relentless attacks once it's in battle. For example, when it uses its Fire-type move Flame Charge in battle, in addition to doing damage, Fletchling's Speed increases every time.
- With a leaf always in its mouth and an intimidating glare that is rarely effective, Fighting-type Pokémon Pancham shows its playful side when it lets out a little smile when its head is pat. Pancham can learn a brand-new move, Parting Shot, which not only lowers an opponent's Attack and Special Attack, but also allows Pancham to switch out for another Pokémon in a Trainer's party during battle.
- Pokémon X and Pokémon Y introduce a new method of transportation-riding the brand-new Pokémon, Gogoat. This large Grass-type Pokémon is a reliable way to travel certain parts of Lumiose City. In battle, it can use Horn Leech to recover HP equal to half the damage dealt by this move.

Japan uses Pokemon X & Y info! It's super effective!
Nintendo is planning to release more details of the upcoming 3DS exclusive Pokémon X and Pokémon Y on May 19th, but some snippets have already escaped into the wild courtesy of Japan's CoroCoro comic.
The game will take place in the Karos region, and the main gameplay hub will be Miare City, with its distinctive Eiffel Tower style landmark. You'll be able to create your own character, not only choosing between male and female but deciding on skin and hair colour as well.
Most notably, we're getting our first data on the latest additions to the Pokedex, with four new Pokémon detailed in the comic's feature. Yancham is "mischievous", a fighting-type Pokémon whose special techniques include something called Parting Remark. Yayakoma is a flying Pokémon that can use the fire technique Flame Charge. Elicitel is an electric type which can use Parabola Charge, a technique that damages enemies while restoring HP. Finally there's Gogoat, a grass type Pokémon that you'll be able to ride around on.
Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will be out in October, and will be the first main entry in the long-running series exclusively for 3DS. It also introduces full 3D polygon graphics, replacing the 2D sprites that have defined the series since 1996.

Nintendo announces Pokemon X and Y for 3DS
The long-running Pokémon series will get its most radical makeover ever later this year, Nintendo has revealed, when it makes the leap from DS to 3DS in the new Pokémon X and Pokémon Y games.
Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata made the announcement during one of his regular Nintendo Direct webcasts. The twin games, the first to be developed specifically for the 3DS, will launch worldwide in October 2013. This marks another first in the series, as the west has traditionally had to wait months for Pokémon games to be localised and released outside Japan.
The game takes full advantage of both the greater processor power of the 3DS and its 3D screen. Gameplay has switched from the top-down viewpoint of old to a fully 3D world, with your Pokémon trainer viewed from behind as they roam around.
There will also be new additions to the Pokédex to celebrate this momentous change. So far, the only ones revealed have been grass type Chespin, fire type Fennekin water type Froakie. Official screenshots show two new legendary Pokémon, each with an X or Y shape. Existing fans shouldn't worry though: Pikachu will definitely return.
Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will be released exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in October.
