007: Goldeneye Product Details

Released on 05/11/2010

Goldeneye is back. Get your friends.

The Goldeneye story comes to life again with a single player campaign featuring Daniel Craig as Bond.

007: Goldeneye for Nintendo DS Features:

  • Extensive wi-fi multiplayer with up to 6 players
  • Customise your match with 8 maps, and a variety of weapons and classic modes like Golden Gun mode.
  • Unique NDS mechanics; smash open doors, access encrypted keypads and crack enemy databases.
  • GoldenEye 007 Classic Edition detailed

Activision has spilled the beans on the Classic Edition of its forthcoming Wii exclusive GoldenEye 007, and we can't wait to get our hands on it.

Aside from getting a gold Wii Classic Controller Pro bundled in, all the better to enjoy the frantic blasting action, Classic Edition buyers will also be able to play the Classic Conflict mode from the start - everybody else is going to have to hit level 35 in online multiplayer first.

Classic Conflict, in case you were wondering, allows you to play as a series of legendary Bond characters such as Jaws, Oddjob, Baron Samedi, Dr. No, Scaramanga, Red Grant, Rosa Klebb or Blofeld. If you get shot - we never do, mind - you'll respawn randomly as one of the others. Bam.

GoldenEye 007 is a reimagining of the N64 classic. The original game was developed by Rare and is seen as being the first FPS to really work on a console. While the remake has plenty of competition on that front, it's still looking smart and addictive - and it swaps out Pierce Brosnan for Daniel Craig, making the whole thing feel a little more contemporary.

The game's out for the Wii (and the DS) on 5th November.

  • Activision dates James Bond: Blood Stone

Attention, secret agents. Activision has finally revealed the date for the forthcoming James Bond adventure James Bond: Blood Stone. It seems the driving and shooting actionfest will be hitting stores on 5th November.

That means it will be available in stores on the same day as Bond fans can also pick up GoldenEye 007, the remake of the classic N64 Bond shooter, which is being released on the Wii and DS.

Blood Stone is made by Bizarre Creations, the team behind Project Gotham Racing and Blur. It's a brand new Bond story, penned by the writer of some of the classic movies, and it's a brilliant blend of driving and shooting, as you chase down terrorists across a range of exotic locations. Expect to punch and blast baddies on foot, and get behind the wheel of classic Bond cars and speedboats.

GoldenEye 007, meanwhile, updates the legendary Pierce Brosnan adventure for the Daniel Craig generation: it features the latest Bond fighting through a series of redesigned levels and duking it out in brilliant online multiplayer modes. We can't wait.

James Bond: Blood Stone will be available for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. GoldenEye 007 will be hitting the Wii and DS. Whatever your platform, then, Bond's got you covered this November.

  • Superannuation, everybody favourite internet sleuth, has been at it again. This time, according to a report on Eurogamer, the mysterious hero has been digging up domain name registrations that suggest Activision is working on something called GoldenEye Reloaded.

Iiiinteresting. Wee going to go out on a limb here, and say it Bond related, but what could it be? The domains registered so far include the likes of Goldeneye007gamereloaded.com, so wee guessing this is going to end up on a game disk at some point in the not too distant future.

Top guesses so far suggest that the publisher might be putting together an HD updating of last year brilliant GoldenEye remake for the Wii. The game was built by Eurocom, and provided some of the best Bond blasting action wee seen in years.

So will the game be headed to the 3DS perhaps? Or maybe HD consoles? We wouldn rule out a Move or Kinect release for this one.

Activision recently announced it would be making another Bond game this year, and wee heard rumours that Raven Software will be working on it. Is this the same project, or is it something new? It would probably take a secret agent to find out.

Very good game. Controls are hard to get use to at first but after short while you get the hang of it. The game play is very smooth and the levels are of decent size. The ability to play online is amazing. I had a lot more fun playing online then playing by my self. The graphics could have done with being a little better but it is a hand held. Over all it is a very fun and entertaining game. Defiantly recommend.
