Amped 3 is the follow up to the previous two titles on the Xbox, and puts you in the role of a custom created character who joins up with some snowboarders to own the slopes.

The character creation options are fairly broad considering how unimportant a part of the game it is, you can choose from a variety of outfits, goggles, gloves and boards, and unlock more as you progress throughout the game.

The games story is basic enough, but what really shines is the sheer amount of insane, geniunely funny humor in the game, from talking hands that just want some bread, to ninja anime style shorts with hilarious dialogue, Amped 3 is packed with rediculous humor that gives it a bit of distance, not taking itself too seriously.

The gameplay in Amped 3 consists of you choosing a mountain, although you only have access to one before you advance the storyline, and a starting point on that mountin, you then have free roam around the mountain. Completely free to travel to whatever challenges

Amped 3 takes the series in a different and much stranger direction and in my opinion, its all for the better. While the previous Amped games were very much a serious Snowboarding Sim Amped 3 is absolutely insane. That's really the only way to describe it. Not so much in its gameplay, its still a pretty straightforward Snowboarding game, but you will do some crazy stuff. The madness comes in its story which is told in a series of awesome cutscenes which will confuse and amuse. Its really crazy, so crazy that its hard to put into words, the best way to put it is to just say this story involves: Ninjas, Boy Bands, Sock Puppets, Russian Hand People, a bizarre slightly EA like company and tons of other strange stuff.

Now, when it comes to the gameplay, its not very revolutionary and it can be a little repetitive but the overall charm and style makes it forgivable. It looks unlikely there will be an Amped 4 sadly so make sure you don't miss out on this.
