A true masterpiece of game design. Bioware have improved upon the already stellar original in every aspect of the game, especially the gameplay and the visuals. The graphics are among the best you'll find on any console, both artistically and technically, whilst the combat is much closer to a cover based third person shooter than expected. The RPG elements have been streamlined to make an altogether more action packed game, but not at cost of story and exploration. The story and voice acting are amazing as in the original, with countless decisons to make that actually affect later gameplay, with some even carrying over to Mass Effect 3! It is truly a must-have game, and the most compelling 35+ hours I've had on a next gen console

Brilliant, but not perfect... The original was THE rpg on 360, I must have played through 6 times to unlock all achievments.. First off this instalment is much bigger and a lot more diverse in terms of life and environments, Also the story has been continued nicely and keeps the player engrosed and engaged constantly (I sank a good 10 hours into it on my day off yesterday.... yikes). Some old friends return which is great and the game achieves a brilliant balance of fimiliarity and new content. I really like the new manual galaxy map which makes exploration truely random and exciting, the quests found on planets are varied and generally all worth your effort. All in all a big improvement in all areas and to be fair any title that can hold my attention for 10hours at a time gets top marks anyway. (just like the old days! The levelling system and weapon upgrades have been simplified massively so shopping on illios is pretty pointless. I had already found all of the upgrades on offer i
