Currently the racing game genre if im honest seem to be getting it wrong they are trying to be too like gran turismo like need for speed pro street which if im honest was the worse route ever for need for speed to take it has never been a track racing game it never will be.

The exception to this is PGR4 it has stuck to what it does best and improved it and is the first game racing game ive been on that has had a good attempt at weather. If im honest I don't think much to the bikes on the game but some people I know love using them.
The graphics are good but the only critism i have is the computers they are too aggressive and aswell they are too easy to beat even when i had them on maximum diffifculty and had not as good cars I hammered them.
And the detail on the cars have some mistakes like the Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren is a manual on PGR4 and so is the BMW M5 for that matter when they paddle shifts in real life.

Apparant from that it is perfect 9/10

This game is fantastic. A perfect mix of acrade and simulation meaning anyone can enjoy it. At 15 quid just give it a go you will not regret it.

its alrite, bikes r rubbish cos when you get the slightest knock by cars you fall off and start last!! but it is slightly addictive though lol career mode is the best and the enzo is mi favourite car. graphics ok, gameplay good

buy this game just stay away from the bikes

They lost the plot with this game
PGR3 was alot more fun to play the addition of motorcycles means that using a car isn't as appealing as it used to be on PGR3
cars are to touchy
on the other hand the way the bikes ride is brilliantly done and if you want a motorcycle game then this is the best on the 360 so far by a big margin

Usually I prefer Forza 2, but it graphics didn't have any real push. PGR4 on the other hand, is a step up from PGR3 in every way.. Improved in everyway., the uneven roads, weather conditions and overall visuals.
As all my reviews, I like to point out the faults. One thing I've found is that the bikes are not very balanced against the cars, as you having to push every corner for time as the bikes are usual faster (this I mean against the lead cpu cars), it feels like your using a class down to your opponents, apart from the early races..
This fault, isn't just PGR4, but I see this all to often, is the driving AI, if you can call it that.. if you watch them they pull away perfect, corner perfect.. it has perfect grip, braking, the lot.. this is 'On Rails' like a tram.. the AI doesn't even seem to be aware of you. Also, It uses 'rubber band' to either catch you up, or speed away.. lastly the collision damage is at times, inconsistant.
With real AI PGR4 could've been perfect.. 7/10

Not overly sure about PGR4, yes graphically its brilliant and the weather effects are interesting, but I don't think the single player experience is as tight as PGR3. To compare this game to Forza and GT is a bit unfair as they are not similar games, PGR is more comparable to the NFS and RR games insofar as its not trying to be a 'Real Driving Simulator' (thank God) and is more arcadey. Don't get me wrong I love PGR4 but I think they tweaked too much with the format and more importantly they broke the cat and mouse online game from PGR3 which was utter genius and I won't EVER forgive Bizarre Creations for that, you swines. Its still top fun though and the handling and gameplay is as tight as ever and the Kudos system while slightly altered is still all present and correct. I just don't think it is all round as well balanced and paced as PGR3, still well worth getting though.

I played Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on my mates PS3 a couple of nights ago and its nowhere near as much fun to play as this.Its predecessor PGR 3 was an Xbox 360 launch title,It looked great,had an excellent single player career mode but it was rubbish online.This is where PGR 4 is a different beast altogether.Online it is fantastic and (along with Burnout Revenge) the most fun you will have racing your mates on the Xbox live community.The graphics are amazing with incredible detail and no sign of slowdown.The bikes are an acquired taste to be honest and (for me anyway) not an integral part of the gameplay.That choice is yours,play them or don't play them.There is a huge selection of cars to keep even the biggest petrolhead happy for months anyway.I don't want to sound like an Xbox 360 fanboy,but this is the best racer on any console in my opinion and belongs in your collection.
