I have been using opne of these for like 3 months and it seems to be doing it's job very well...
I would recommend puchasing one of these just for your Xbox 360 to stay on the safe side.

hi guys ,, some times the xbox over heats because your using its power supply with the fan or the connections not in right, the best thing to do is just buy 2 computer internal chip fans and wire them up so u can use them from the plug easy ,,lay them down and place them on the bottom of you xbox get them in any colour . or better still like others say keep in cool place or just get a life and go out more then play it with hang over the next day,, l8r playing a game

This is a HUGE no go.
I bought one of these recently for my core system. I had never had the "RROD" before, and was worried about it so i got the fan. Within about 2 hours of using the fan, bang, i got the RROD. Left the xbox unplugged for a few hours, and it was fine, but every time the fan was plugged in, the xbox broke. Eventually it refused to fix itself and I contacted Microsoft, and was told that the fan had voided my warranty, so no replacement would be given. Now im getting myself an elite, and keeping it in a cool, well ventilated place. My advice? Dont eve think about buying a fan, you'll regret it, big time.

when i had the premium 360 that always seemed to make a weird noise after about 4 or 5 hours so i bought a fan for that. When i got my elite how ever it doesn't seem to heat up as much so there fore if u have a premium ore core 360 id suggest getting one of these fans but if u have an elite theres really no need to .

i have got one of these fan's in white, since been using it, i noticed my xbox has been quicker and more stable because i used to run the unit 24/7 now its better than ever, also i heard that the "Ring Of Death" is caused by a overheating issue and caution is advised when using this product

they work fine. i could really tell the difference in temperature. although made a very annoying grinding sound. i took my 360 back 2 times because i thought that was the problem. also wouldnt recommend it if u have the wireless adapter as the pushes against the adapters release button and it falls out.

I never had any trouble with my first 360 'til I got a fan for it ... then ZAP! dead within 4 weeks. My replacement has worked fine ... seriously, a lot of people have had problem with their 360s after adding fans ... what few realise is that you just need to keep your 360 in a well-ventilated area, with some space around it, and keep your power brick in a place where it can keep cool, too ... an over-heated power brick can kill your 360.

Well here's the thing. if you have an elite which i got on christmas then i think your okay. keep xbox 360's in cold air and space. you don't need all this fan malaki. i had my xbox on from 11:30 in the morning to aproximately 8:20 at night and it didn't get hot at all . no red lights . nothing.. just a tinny bit of hot air in the back and hot sides
