This is a good game, but it has too many flaws to make it a classic. The online is decent enough yet, not brilliant. Overall, a good game.

I really liked this game, it is a nice change from the current watered down shooters out at the moment.
The main game may have been a little bit short, and there may be some issues with the online multiplayer, but overall i think that the experience of the game, with the powers of the glaive giving new dimentions of game playing, allowing you to throw the glaive (a handheld knife weapon) from when you are behind a wall, to going into an almost FPS camera angle, you can control the glaive straight into an enemy, usually removing an arm, leg or the always popular head decapitation.
ALthough the gun side of the game may have been a bit of a let down, cause, if you are like me, i never used them when presented with such a cool alternative.
If your finally getting bored with halo, this could be the way forward for you.

Dark Sector is fantastic! It looks amazing, it builds up slowly, the glaive (on the contrary to so many other reviews ive read) isnt hard to control at all. As far as bullet time goes it helps break up the fury of the combat making it all in all a more balenced experience.
My one critisism is difficulty... got it home at about lunch time, was done before bed with a hearty 630G under my belt. Far too easy. However, having done so a Brutal-Difficulty was unlocked so hopefully that will solve my problem.
Bottom line - i'm impressed.
Online play - See Gears of War. Rediculously similar.

cool game. Its fun and it looks okay graphically. It does have some cool ideas and as a premise its a great idea. But it seems like they were aiming for a higher age rating and decided to go for a lower one at the last minute. So yeah its a good game but i don't think i would have been very happy if i had bought it, just seemed like it needed a little more work.

Dark Sector is in my opinion a great game. Although the average gamer should complete it in a day of solid play, the joy of using the glaive, a three bladed weapon which grows from your characters arm, to slice and dice unsuspecting foes is endless. A solid 9/10.

A fun game but only for a while...
Dark sector is a great game to rent, not necessarily buy. It has a pretty good single player campaign with an average story line but once you finished that its about it. The multiplayer was a let down in my own opinion, during online sessions I found it often to be really laggy and not enough depth to the multiplayer. With only two game types which seems half heartedly made I think it could have been a lot better than it is. A game for me needs a decent multiplayer or a better, LONGER story to keep me playing.
The single player was fun but also a bit repetitive and perhaps too short. Don't get me wrong the game is fun, whats not fun about throwing a glaive and dismembering a head or body? However i feel this game has been rushed at some stages, when in comparison with other third person shooters like Gears of War or GRAW:AW2 it doesn't feel as complete.
I would suggest renting before buying it! I personally give it 7/10!

Dark sector recieves a 7 out of 10 from me. Its a gritty 3rd person shooter but comes into its own with the awesome glaive. there really is no weapon that can give the same satisfaction as using that. The online aspect isnt fantastic though, as it has a mere 2 game modes both of which become boring quickly.

When i first got the game, i thought i was gona be another highly rated flop, but once you get into it its a brilliant game the graphics are detailed and the game play engrossing, online gets a bit repettitve but overall this is a quality game 9/10

This game is quite fun to play with alot of similarities to games like gears of war and resident evil, you dont get bored of playing because something new comes up round every corner, wether its a new bad guy, boss or new power in which to kill the bad guy or boss. i would recomend you buy this game as there is alot to do on it as well as online multiplayer for xbox users, unfortunately only offering 2 game modes but this game act almost as a nice filler for the release of gears of war 2.
