I was given this as a birthday present, and initialy I was skeptical. However, Briscoe is right. It takes a while to realise that the button mashing you start off doing actually translates to what is happening n the screen, but once you figure it all out, it's hours of fun. And to Maduran: no, they don't speak English. Funily enough, it's a J-Game. Having it in any other language would just be...odd. 4/5

Based on a wild Japanese arcade game, Senko No Rondo,it is an 'old school' fans dream come true. A dazzling mashing of Anime characterised mechs and multicoloured screen filling laser and bullet particles. Its bewildering to watch and initially as confusing to play. You are a 'Rounder' an androgenous teen creation that only the Japanese could come up with, as males look like the female protaganists. The battles are aerial ballets that take place thousands of feet above swirling 3D cityscapes or around deep space structures. When you and your enemy are apart the zoomed out action plays like a 2D shoot 'em up with a myriad of bullets and bombs filling the screen and you doing the dance of death in a 2D plane around each other. Shields and rocket fueled dodges keeping you from an early death. It plays very strategically with move and counter move as each tries to outwit the other into opening up to a barrage of bullets.Close combat calls in the melee attacks as metal swipes metal. Ace!
