Ok, so a week ago, i bought this because I was importing Super Smash Bros. Brawl and needed a wireless gamecube controller because we're beyond the wired controllers generation and secondly, to be more next gen but still be able to play brawl with a GC controller. The box makes it look great and not nearly as big as the wireless wavebird controller (1st party wireless gamecube controller). So i got the cash from selling a bunch of bad wii games i was given by relatives (ninjabread man is the failure of the decade) to buy this.
Was it worth it? Not by a long shot.
I will never purchase another product made by GAME ever again. It is quite simply, awful. It is clunky, the wireless range is too small, the battery pack falls out and takes 4 AAA batteries, the buttons make lots of noise, the rumble feature is inconsistant and all around this controller is BAD. The worst piece of third-party hardware i have ever purchased, doubtlessly. Stay away from this total disaster and failure.

I thought this controller is of very good quality. Having never had the chance to get used to the original gamecube controllers i find this one very easy to work with and i rarely lose when playing super smash bros. melee when i use it.

Don't get me wrong this controller works fine, it does all it is supposed to do. It is just so large and uncomfortable. Also, the buttons are really hard to press in, this could greatly affect your performance when playing the Super Smash Bros. Series. I play terrible when using this control pad on SSB. There is a much cheaper and much more user friendly pad for sale on this very website! It even has another Z button on the left shoulder for you lefties out there! You can view it here: http://www.game.co.uk/Wii/Hardware/Accessory/r329926/GAMEware-Nintendo-GameCube-Control-Pad-for-Nintendo-Wii-White/

Okay, this does work and is fine for playing games with. However it is not a Wavebird and not as comfortable as one.
The two prongs are slightly wider apart than the Wavebird, the A,B,X,Y buttons aren't as soft to press, the L,R buttons aren't in a position that feels natural compared to the Wavebird, the control stick is a little higher up and doesn't resist quite as much when pushed about, and overall it just feels much more bulky than the Wavebird.
While all these things might be minor they do add up to make a big difference. Although it might sound like I'm saying this controller is terrible, I'm not. It just doesn't feels as good as the Wavebird does.
If you don't care what you get so long as it works get this. But if you prefer the feel of the official controllers pay the extra for a Wavebird if you can find one.
