Central Park is hiding a secret. Built as a safe haven not only for the people of New York, but for something else entirely, generations of guardians have long protected the truth, preserving the vast parkland while the most expensive city in the world reached skyward on its fringes. Now the truth can no longer be contained, and paranormal investigator Edward Carnby finds himself inexplicably cast into the eye of the storm as over the course of one apocalyptic night he must uncover the earth-shattering secret behind Central Park. New York will never be the same again.

.I dismissed all of the customer reviews on this site and bought the game.Where on earth do you start with this review when the game in my view is one of the WORST games i have played in years. The game has a stupid unworkable control setup, which will have you tearing your hair out.The ai of the zonbies is unbelievable and quite often they will stand 6 ft from you without moving.Onto the graphics next gen graphics more like 1 before last gen, they are truely awful to the extreme, if you manage to play the game for more than a couple of hours you will need glasses by the time you've finished playing as the screen constantly blurs and then comes back into focus(trying to simulate an injured person). Its 1 of the 1st games to include a chapter section where you can jump straight to the last mission without playing any other level. Its that bad (no really bad) i never even completed the last level just to say i've completed it.Theres no story its as short as a demo in my view very boring.

Brilliant game, dont listen to them. it may have bad controll and graphics but the story line is fantastic and so is the thrill and rush during gameplay

I got suckered in by the tech demos and pre-release hype. The graphics were generally PS2 quality, the fun stuff shown in the demos is almost impossible to do in the game and why would you make a zombie game and not include a shotgun! It's like playing Pro-tennis without a racket! Having said all that there are some nice touches to the game, loading the gun is kinda fun if not pointless and accessing the inventory (in 3rd person mode) is pretty cool. Overall a let down, not by the engine, but by the game developed with it. Shame on you Atari! 3/10 is fair!
