I got the official component cable yesterday and pleased with it, the graphics are much better and the colors stand out more. I defiantly recommend buying a component cable, I also brought the GameWare component cable the cheaper version then the official cable because I am impatient and didn't want to wait a day for the official cable 2 be sent 2 me, and even tho i going to keep the official cable plugged in they both do exact the same thing maybe the official cable is a very lil bit clearer but honestly i cant tell the difference in picture quality just the official cable more expensive but if you can afford a console these days then you can afford anything else that goes with it.

Unfortunately though, whilst the picture is definately improved, certain Virtual Console (VC) games won't play at this resolution, one example being games on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis format.

People buy this product, i kid you not, after 7 months playing the XBOX 360 ELITE through HDMI i've got used great looking visuals, so going back to standard AV cables was abit yuk but the Wii Component AV Cable is fab, really does help, & for £19.99 thats great, but only £4.99 cash if you trade in a couple of old games. so do it people

games look great on a hdtv with this component cable, there is no jumps in the picture and alot more clearer picture all the great games coming out are going to look superb on my tv.If you have a HDTV with a Component input on it i recomend you get this.

Lose most of the jaggies! Sharpens everything up, a must for the visual freaks like me! Mario and Samus will look amazing using component cables!
