The shape of the console is virtually unchanged, but the new model is 33 percent lighter and 19 percent slimmer than the original version.

The new model weighs in at approximately 189g compared to the weight of the current model which is approximately 280g and measures approximately only 18.6mm in thickness compared to approximately 23.0mm.

The addition of video-out functionality enables you to watch high quality UMD Video, pictures and movies from your Memory Stick Duo, on your TV (please note: cable not included). Using a progressive scan TV and PSP specific cable you can also output gameplay.

Also, the new PSP is equipped with enhanced features that will temporarily store game data from UMD, reducing load time during gameplay. Moreover, the ability to now charge the unit via a USB cable connected to PS3 or PC makes this new model even more mobile and accessible.

I love the new disgn of the PSP and ive had a PSP since the japanese launch and i much prefer this design, lighter brighter and top notch that i have a Limited edition FFVII Crisis Core PSP MUSTARD!!

its kinda hard to downgrde as psp slim all come in firmware version 3.50+ which means u will have to use pandoras battery and that requires a spare battery and a spare memory of atleast 256mb...
i dont think the tv output is useful cuz the console is supposed to be portable...

The psp slim and lite is great! i traded in my nintendo ds lite in for this and i am so glad that i did! it has many features including a music, photo and video players. it also includes a web browser, Go!messenger and skype (skype only available for slim and lite model). DO BUY IF YOU HAVE A DS!!!!

great graphics on most of the games and u cand play with ur m8s on it as well also u can send music wirelessly

Best handheld console, if youre tossing up either a DS or PSP, definately go for PSP, lets just hope more and mroe games get issued to it!! 9/10

i got the new psp slim and light the other day but with no games, i also baught the Go!cam which is amazing gadgid and a 1gb memory card, i borrowed juiced eliminator from a friend and played on it, i think the graphics are about the same as a PS2 which is amazing for such a small thing! 1 thing bad about it is not actually the console but all the games, THERE SO SHORT!

i bought it today,with fifa08 and tokyo drift, 512mb(tooo small),and a usb cable.It looks nice....i hope it will be good gadget.
