By far the best madden in terms of gameplay and the looks of the thing!!!! it really just looks fantastic now, the responsiveness of the pass plays is so much better and the whole balance between O and D make it so much more realistic
if you want to get into the NFL but don't understand it then this is supurb!!! you will learn the rules, the best players the technique of plays etc really quickly and will really really enjouy it!!!

Madden 09 plays a fantastic game of football. The graphics & commentary are the best that I've experienced and as for the gameplay it's great fun with the computer AI adapting to your own personal playing level.
However as commented by Adam Higgs, this is great if you have a 100% perfect copy of the game, I unfortunately do not. After leading my beloved Eagles to an 8 - 0 start with no problems at all, the next game with the Giants has now frozen for the fifth time, meaning you have to restart the PS3 again & again.
Hopefully this problem will be rectified on the next copy I receive as it really is a quality title. EA Sports have finally developed a decent gridiron game for the PS3 after their previous poor showings over the last couple of years and gliches aside should be applauded.

The game itself is amazing...when it works! If you are one of the few who buy and play a working game with no problems then im so jealous!! Tons of people are experiencing problems with unexpected game freezes and lots of other problems. I woudl check ea forums untill they have sorted the problem, and then perhaps buy the game. Like i said, its a good game but at this point in time there are quite a few problems with the general gameplay. Hope this helps!

i am yet to purchase this game and i think i will tomorrow as i cant today because of stupid bank holiday!
i find this game so unbelieveably awsome compared to 08 it is so much more realistic and i like the new power and finesse moves
i played it at a friends and then went back to mine and played on 08 and their is so much difference i could not enjoy 08 as much
the graphics on this game compared to 08 are 10 times better i could not believe it i didnt think i was playin a game from the madden series
if u follow the NFL or are just a sports fan or are just out to trucker your way through the other team then madden 09 is a must buy!!! worth every penny!!!!!

One word awesome. While madden 08 was a dissapointment 09 is brilliant. The first thing you notice are the graphics and animations which are superb. While the actuall gameplay has improved there are no improvements on game types or anything like that infact in the central part of the game it s no different to 08. It is a good game and is worth picking up if you enjoy NFL. Those who follow it will love it and also notice that Bret Favre is on the front of the case in his green bay packers kit however he has traded to the new york jets. All in all a good game and much better then 08. By the way the Dallas Cowboys will win the superbowl this year.

This game is amazing the graphics are out of this world, when it rains your team jerseys get covered in mud and really add to the feel and authenticity of the game having bought this yesterday i have played on it non stop still im not very good at it but it is so addictive. the new madden iq test is really good you play through some plays and it gives you a score of how you have done which creates a difficulty level for you to play at.The good thing about it is the better you play in each match your iq goes up the harder the game gets, i need to practice a bit more but i am really looking forward to the online play. Any sports fans out there this is the game for you all in all a cracking game.

Fantastic! All the improvements and new features that EA have come up with make this, without doubt, the best ever Madden to date. If you play 08 for a game, and then play the same match on 09 you will be blown away.
The pitch, players, stadiums and environment look superb.
If you are new to Madden and American Football, you couldnt choose a better game to buy!
