Just for those who are having trouble with 'rattling'... its pretty simple, just remove the fan from your ps3 and tighten all the screws, it worked for me

Just bought this for my 40GB PS3, clips on fine, works, can't really measure how much it cools the PS3 down by, but it definitely works. For those who can't get it to clip on, try using a different USB port. (If the PS3 is laying horizontally, I use the port furthest right).

is great at keeping ps3 cool but 3 months on its starting to make a really bad noise...

Overall this is a nice cheap bit of equipment to have. Not really sure just how much cooler my PS3 is with the use of this. I can see that the airflow is increased by the 4 fans, which in turn must be keeping the temperature from rising.
Noise - Its not that bad and if you are playing a game you will hardly notice it.
Looks - Excellent design, was made to look like a part of the PS3.
The manual states that it is designed to clip on the bottom USB port but you can clip it to the 3rd or 4th which means you have 2 spare USB ports to use while your PS3 is on.
Is this a worth while buy, Yes. £12.99 is not going to break the bank and you can clip this on or off in no time at all, so if you don’t like it, bin it! I would recommend this to all PS3 users, better to be safe than sorry.

not bad, it certainly helps keep the PS3 cool. however all that i have got to mention about this is sometimes it does make a horrible noise and despite the tabs that should clip it to the PS3s air vents, one side keeps coming loose. other than that a good piece of kit, i would recommend it.....just to be safe!

Unless you are already experiencing issues with your PS3 overheating then this is a total waste of money
I have yet to see one piece of evidence that suggests otherwise.
Don't try fixing something thats not broken. Pure and simple... Snake Oil !!!

i have a 60GB and and its been played just about all day since january we have about 9 games so its would be played alot. is this fan worth it because my ps3 get really hot, i dont really mind it takes up a usb slot. is the ps3 beein hot going to affect game play because i play call of duty and the signal is really low is this because of the ps3 bein hot ?? or because we have about 4 laptops using the same wireless

Had this a few days now and although you couldn't describe it as quite being 'industrial scale cooling' lol, it works perfectly well. There seems to be some cooling and thats got to be good news until super cool processors magically appear in our PS3's. The unit blends onto your PS3 nicely, connects easily and is very stable (my PS3 is horizontal btw), and makes little noise (any fan is never going to be silent unless it doesn't work). All in all I think I've made a good purchase for minimal money and would give this fan a very good 9.5/10
