I brought this yesturday so when im playing my ps3 the sound will go through my surround speakers (samsung home cinema) and WOW ..... the sound is amazing, and does the job spot on!
However, i havent got this lead connected to my PS3 instead ive connected this lead to my home cinema DVD to the TV so not only do i get perfect crisp sound when playing my PS3 but i also get surround sound when watching normal TV - so double bonus..
Well worth every penny BARGAIN.
So if you have a surround sound system id definately recommend this cable - I couldnt imagine playing my ps3 without it now - makes gaming experience more fun and real

I've already got a hdmi cable out of game, works a treat but is there any point in buying an Optical Cable aswell?

Since this is a digital cable, it'll do the job perfectly. Regardless of whether it is a £100 system or £10,000, a digital signal won't degrade so no point paying £50 for something that can't be improved by gold etc etc etc. Perfect for the job!

This is designed to be used with compatible 5.1 sourround sound set ups, if you dont have surround sound you don't need this. The optical cable is simple to plug in, the cable length is 2m, and it has dust caps at each end for protection. Great quality cable for the price, and works a treat if set up correctly, however if you've got a really expensive 5.1 surround sound set up, perhaps spend a little more and get a really decent optical cable so as not to limit your audio experience in any way.
Overall, good cable, great price, you can really go wrong when its only £8, 9/10
