This is a very good game which takes you a while to complete on the right difficulty. The enemy AI is good and isn't stupid and actually gives you a challenge. It's good to go different World Leaders and make peace with some and be at war with others, you can use your allies to attack your enemy's so their is lot of tactics about this game. You shouldn't judge it by the graphics or the demo, Don't judge a book by it's cover, in this case a game.
Get it you crazy fools

This game is nothing like the PC version of civilization as its more streamlined and you dont spend all your time watching every unit like a hawk,if only they hadnt put stupid sim like voices in the game it would score higher in my opinion.
I have played the Demo on the playstation network and i now intend to buy the game.
My advice is to try before you buy. 8/10

I honsetly don't know what all of the negative reviews are about!?? This game has good AI and how is it too short when you play a game for like hours at a time?! Unless you are judging on the demo i don't know what you mean. I think this game is worth buying if you want something other than the generic FPS that are being pumped out every month, e.g COD4, HAZE, Turok, Battlefield ect.ect. The graphics are nice and colourful and the game is unbelivably addictive, you just cant stop once you start! Its also recieved good scores from websites lie IGN and Gametrailers and in my OPM magazine it got 8 which isnt bad at all. Don't listen to the reviews just buy it or at least give it rent, you will probably be pleasently surprised.:D

An absolute travesty of a game.
Why?
Its too short, no option to continue after the points scoring portion of the game ends.
No option to customise your game (even though there is a custom game option you dont actually customise anything about it!)
The AI are constantly out to destroy you even if you are at peace with them making outrageous demands for your technology and gold at virtually every turn in the game.
The advisors are constantly butting in on screen talking a gibberish language giving you useless and sometimes obsolete advice.
A very very poor game.
A simple option to continue your game after the point scoring finished would have redeemed this game.

Many people will try to justify the existance of this game by pointing out that its a console strategy game and therefore should not be judged too harshly on its lack of depth, longevity, or indeed, strategy (these people have obviously forgotten that Westwood managed to produce a nigh on perfect console port of Command and conquer almost ten years ago).
Of course you can judge it harshly on the fact that its bugged (for a game that relied heavily on an in game manual, having that manual virtually unusable because icons cloud over the text really is unforgivable), with terrible AI, completely fails to make use of the technology available to it. Why the use of irritating "simlish" ? The single player game, which I would hope would be designed to emulate a multiplayer game, does not do so. Rather than six nations each out to win on their own merits, its you V five other computer AI`s (who are universally useless)
A poor game that is a travesty to its heritage.

Disappointing. Avid fan of civ 3 and 4 and was looking foward to how it would fare on the ps3. 'advisors' constantly barrage you on screen and have no option to swicth them off. You have no say on what map size, number of a.i's or what type of game you want e.g. economic, cultural, conquest etc. the multiplayer is bugged with disconnections and not registering your wines and losses at all. as far as civ fans can go wait till sept for civ:conololization to come out.
