SummaryProduct Details

The story picks up where players last left off with Kratos. Sitting atop his throne on Olympus, Kratos, the once mortal warrior has become a threat far worse than his predecessor Ares, had ever been. Kratos is a ruthless God, whose wrath strikes down anyone who crosses his path or the path of his beloved Sparta. The "Ghost of Sparta" sets out to alter that which no mortal, or god has ever changed, his fate. Kratos' journey brings him to the very edge of the Earth, facing countless beasts, monsters, and horrors from his previous life, all bent on preventing him from reaching his goal. But this is Kratos, and his defiance is filled with such arrogance and contempt that all of the Ancient World still trembles at his name: Kratos, the God of War.

God of War is an amazing game......It's worth every penny....However the camera angles may become frustrating after a while but apart from that, it's pretty much perfect =]

Im not a fan of games with an excess of blood and gore, but this game caught my eye. I only started playing it today but am enjoying it greatly. I have to get a PS3 to get the sequel. 9/10

Brutal combat in Greek mythology using the iconic weapons that other games are trying to imitate? Yes please! This second game in the series sees you as Kratos, the new God of War, being stripped of godly powers and slain by Zeus; you are saved by the Titan Gaia and sent to change your fate. The gameplay following, filled with flashy moves, some really OTT finishing kills and some great boss battles, is notably better than the first game, and it's a longer experience too. Unfortunately, there are a few mis-steps - some of the levels feel a touch like filler and the story's simply not as strong as the first game's tale of Kratos' past and his quest for redemption. The cliffhanger ending's a bit irritating too, although it's had it's desired effect and made me really want the third game... If you're into this sort of game, and old enough to play it, I'd heartily recommend it - although play the original first, for the fantastic backstory!
