A stunning new MMO, that does its best to break the generic mould that MMO's have fallen into. Introducing a new and engaging combat system, which combines skill based combos with the unqiue shielding system to create the best combat ever in an MMO. Funcom have also added new "Destiny Quest" which carry out through the whole game, this allows them to add fanastic scripted events that really draw you into the story.
Age Of Conan also has some of the best visuals ever in a MMO, from the dynamic shadows to high resolution texture really bring Hyboria to life.
The game is based of the Conan lore, which proves a great setting for a MMO but you wont find any glowing weapons or gnomes here within its low fantasy setting, but there is lots and lots of blood...and its a good thing.
Age Of Conan pvp is based mainly on a guild vs guild system, but does offer cultural pvp (wow-ish) if wanted. In conclusion Age of conan is a fanastic MMO not to be missed by any MMO fan. But still has

The game is not out of BETA and should not have been shipped, constant crashes, constant bugs, quests and vendors that do not work, un balanced PvP. Even the communications system is utter pants.
Wait 3 months and then take a look, at the moment its not ready and gets frustrating,

It should be noted that several of the features listed in the description are not actually present in Age of Conan at this time. Siege Warfare and Bar Brawls are not in game, and many of the intended 30 zones did not make it in for launch. It is intended that they will be added in patches in the future.

I bought this just over a week ago and I've already decided to stop playing. It's just another mindless grind of a game. So if you have the time to waste doing kill, collect, rinse and repeat type quests. It may be for you. However if your the sort of person who would like to plug in and play, you may want to reconsider.
Sure its still early days for this game but sooner or later you will get your hardcore no lifers that will dominate it, just like any other of the grind a thon games. The Pvp system is terrible, the graphics are ok if you have a high spec computer but the rest is just meh. At best this game is a space filler before Wotlk or Warhammer online.

Very good game, the Combo system is very fun, and very different. I would give it a 8/10. Graphics are good. Gameplay is very fun and doesn't get boring. The only bad thing I would give this game is the interface, its terrible, however it has just been released, so it WILL get better.

Like previous people have already stated, AoC is a sandbox MMO where what you see is what you get. If you ever played EQ, SWG or Vanguard, then do not expect to get the same feeling of exploration which those games gave.
The combat system is pretty good, but when combined with certain game mechaniques, such as pet pathing, it makes caster classes inferior in PvP. This is due to several bugs from beta not being fixed, and an area of content from the origional game design, "spellweaving". not being in game.
The game DEVs had to cut a lot of content out of the game to slim-line it for release. For example, when you die so many times you no long go to hell, and all zones are instanced, making it harder to group up with your friends than in your avaerage mmo. This becomes a problem due to later quests needing a static group, if you don't want to grind.
Good graphics, but don't bother playing if you don't have a top dual core.
This game is nothing special in the long r

best mmo graphics rivaling crysis you will need an almighty computer to play it on high everything. amazing game best mmo although the beginning isle is a bit slow to get off(takes a day) rather than a few hours like some of its competitors the beginning isle may seem unpopulated by human players but there are lots of players playing its just every city and area is huge. allthough i havent done a siege battle yet my guild does own a village and it is might impressive and if its anything like the pvp (which seems to not have a limit on number per group) it will be good. and it is worth buying it here as you probably will get a mammoth mount and they are good.

Amazing Game. Got it yesterday and been playing all of today also, it is actually an amazing game.
There is a free month included with the game, and you dont even need credit card details to create an account, so if you just wanna use time cards, its fine!
Runs Great on my computer: Q6600 | 8800GTS 512mb | 2GB Dual Channel | Windows Vista 32bit
As said above tho, if your getting this game, make sure your computer can run it and also that you have enough hard drive space..the game is 25GB in total!

Age of Conan is a remarkable MMORPG set in the rich world of Robert E. Howard's Hyboria, a world filled with violence, slave girls and swamp monsters. What more could you ask for? Unlike other MMORPGS on the market Age of Conan uses a real time action based combat system, making the player throw out combos (Street Fighter style) in order to behead and slice apart their enemies.
I would recommend Age of Conan to anyone looking for an intense, story-driven MMO and are sick of the standard Elves and Dwarf fantasy. Just make sure you have the computer to run it!
