The year is 2142, and the dawn of a new Ice age has thrown the world into a panic. The soil not covered by ice can only feed a fraction of the Earth’s population. The math is simple and brutal: some will live, most will die.

I have a lot to say about this game, first off you always receive the excellent service you do from any GAME store. But secondly, i do not reccomend this game for several reasons. EA did an excellent job with Battlefield 2, the sequel to Battlefield 1942 which too was a great game but seemed to lack something. All EA have done is copied Battlefield 2 (Everything..) and retextured it. That's it, except for the new game mode 'Titan' which no one actually plays along with. Even the controls, squads and commander assets are the same. So if you have Battlefield 2, don't buy this as you will be disappointed. However for a new person to the Battlefield series, this can be seen as a generally an all round good game. Technicalities. I have a good graphics card, i can play BF2 on the top specs perfectly. I can't play BF2142 on the top specs, it crashes the game, even though the game requires less specs than BF2. 5/10 for the the game.

THE best FPS game on any platform bar none. Battelfied 2 has more players online but the physics in game as a little on the cheap side, BF2142 have corrected this plus many other annoying points of the BF2 game. Only annoying this is the install, you have to install v1 then 1.40 then 1.50 for it to work correctly.

Hello, it's me again :). Having played both games, I thought this would be a real stinker after hearing from mates that it was plain unplayable, and that it would be better off playing Battlefield 2. BUT, this game has surprised me, especially the new Titan Mode. Graphics have improved, and gameplay is better. There's also more unlocks than Battlefield 2; even a defibalator, an item which was constantly used by the medics is now an unlock item, meaning people will have to work to get those points on revives. Overall, I think this game would be good for people entering the Battlefield series and Battlefield veterans alike. Give it a go, I'm sure you'll enjoy it ;). Rating : 4.5/5

9/10 A great game for PC spending hours getting unlocks makes it all the worth when you waste some one with the nice shiny nu heavy machine gun you just unlocked, then moving up in the ranks makes you want to never stop playing. Titan mode is VERY taxing on your graphics card but the gameplay is well worth it.
