Aztaka 'combines Aztec world with old school gaming'
06.11.2009
The new side-scrolling role-playing adventure Aztaka on PC combines an Aztec-inspired world with and old school RPG style.
At least that is the opinion of independent game developer Citeremis, which has claimed that the title is the perfect blend of classic gameplay with high-end graphics that tell of a different time.
Players are dropped into the middle of a war between the Aztec gods and mankind, taking to the role of Huitzilo, who is the only person skilled enough in the arts of magic and combat to save his people.
Commenting on the title, Citeremis president Jonathan Mercier said: "We're thrilled to have Steam host Aztaka.
"This opens up a new audience to us and we're confident people will appreciate Aztaka's combination of an Aztec-inspired world and old school action-RPG gameplay."
Another RPG PC title - that is due for release this week - is Dragon Age: Origins, which is set in a land of fantasy where dragons and magic rule.
