FIFA 10 fends off Uncharted 2 atop charts
EA Sports' smash hit football title FIFA 10 has fought off strong competition from new adventure title Uncharted 2: Among Thieves to maintain its chart lead.
The sports game, which is available on all formats, remained in first place in the gaming sales chart for the third consecutive week.
PlayStation 3 exclusive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves nevertheless made a splash in its debut week, with developer Naughty Dog's latest occupying second place.
Last week's runner-up Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising slipped down a spot to third place, while Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games for Wii entered in fifth.
The only other new entry to the top ten was the comedy rock adventure Brutal Legend, which was the week's seventh best seller.
FIFA 10's supremacy is likely to face a stern test next week thanks to the return of its main rival, Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer, with PES 2010 due to launch at the end of the week.
