Tales of Symphonia sequel to be released on Wii
23.04.2009
Gamers who enjoyed the best-selling role-playing game (RPG) Tales of Symphonia on Nintendo GameCube will be pleased to hear that a sequel is due for release on Wii later this year.
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World will hit stores in Europe this autumn, promising to boast the same features of the original but in a game playing format that is new to the series.
While the characters are set to be the same, including Lloyd, Colette and Sheena, a new monster collecting system will feature.
Players will be able to capture the 200 or so monsters they face and defeat in battle, feed them and nurture them to make them more powerful and then use them to their own advantage.
The idea is that each gamer will have his own unique experience, using his own monsters to challenge opponents in the real-time battle system.
Tales of Symphonia was originally released on the GameCube back in 2004 as the fifth instalment of the entire Tales RPG series published by Namco Bandai Games, which also included Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Innocence.
