DJ Star to be launched on DS
23.04.2009
Wannabe DJs will be able to try their hand at the turntable to see what kind of tunes they manage to mix and create.
At least that is the goal of the new DJ Star game, developed by Deep Silver, due for release on the Nintendo DS later this year.
Music lovers will be able to gain the experience needed to live out their dreams of becoming lord of the decks - albeit on a much smaller scale.
DJ Star will comprise a series of game play options featuring a real DJ set-up, including 40 electro and R'n'B tracks to sample, on top of a number of mini games and challenges.
The DS game will also consist of a "creation studio" in which hardcore players will be able to develop their own tracks from scratch.
Meanwhile, according to technology website Softpedia, despite the economic downturn, the Nintendo DS is Japan's best-sold piece of gaming hardware on the market, outperforming sales of Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
