Dante's Inferno epic game in development
23.04.2009
EA Redwood Shores and Artificial Mind and Movement have announced they are to develop an epic action adventure videogame version of the famous Dante Alighieri classic The Divine Comedy.
The game Dante's Inferno, which is to be translated onto the PlayStaion Portable (PSP), Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, will take players on a third-person journey through the nine circles of hell made famous in the original poem.
Dante will fight through a series of monsters and evil tasks in a bid to recapture his beloved Beatrice's soul, facing treachery, fraud, limbo, lust, anger, heresy, violence, greed and gluttony along the way.
While Dante's Inferno promises to be epic, those who choose to play it on the PSP need not worry about missing out, as the game's executive producer and creative director Jonathan Knight explained: "PSP owners can expect to get the same level of fast, responsive gameplay through all nine detailed and unique circles of hell."
Gamers can watch a trailer for Dante's Inferno on the official website www.dantesinferno.com.
