Alan Wake is an amazing cinematic experience for the XBox 360 that has the added bonus of being a game as well ! The story line leads you thoriugh a very dark sequences all of which utilise the dark to its best effect by drawing you into the game play where every sound is translated into you turning your caharacter towards the noise .. its as if you were there ... There are a number of mini challenges through the gameplay like collecting the thermos flasks, the scripts lying around as well as watching all of the TV's that you come across... When you are making your way through the dark side of Alan Wakes thoughts and mind in the form of a book and i broguht the COllectors edition that had an added bonus disc set as well as a book all in a superb replica book cover. All in all this game has everything... suspense...intrigue...action...thrills...and a great storyline ...its got to be one of the must buy games of 2010 .... i just hope there is a sequel out in 2011

I've been following the development saga for Alan Wake since it was annouced as a PC title back in 2005. Now with it being a 360 exclusive and finally being released, there is some disappointment with the gameplay and the linearity of the levels. The first 3 levels can be a chore to play, especially with them being set mainly in the forest. Enemy attacks are always announced in slow-mo fashion, so there aren't many shocks or sneak attacks. Once the action gets back to the town and the story progresses, things get more interesting. I found the storylines to be very well executed, and it leaves a lot of unanswered questions once the game is complete which doesn't get addressed even with the recent dlc "The Signal". I'm hoping that the resolution of the story is satisfying with the next game(s). I bought the collector's edition on release day and it was a bargain with the quality content at £40, but at £25 this is a steal. You'd be mad to miss out.

Well I've heard good things about this game , and for the perfect price of 19.99 I though thet's give it a go. Super fast delivery buy game by the way. Ok , so in the box you got the cardboard cover with alan wake on it , but the actuall casing is a book , no this got me thinking that thiis was the actuall book , it's not. So inside the case you've got the game , ltd disc full of goodies , themes etc , and the soundtrack which is marvellous. So I've heard to play this game at night , to enhance the scaryness so I did , it's very thrilling when you're surrounded by the Taken and you've got no ammo left. It's a very well thoughtout game with collectibles manuscripts , that alan actually reads to you and the conventional Thermos flask. My only niggle is the camera angle , 3rd person but I can get used to that. Very good game and for that price YOU NEED TO GET IT !!

This is such a fantastic game, far, far better than i had expected, the gameplay, acting and graphics are brilliant, the storyline is compelling and well put together, this game is a bargin at £20 epecially for the limited collectors edition in which you get the soundtrack, a bonus disc which contains themes and stuff for avatars, the alan wake files a book which contains interviews with characters and a short story by Alan Wake and a code to get the first DLC for free. all in all this game is a must buy for everyone and anyone!!! 5/5
