SummaryProduct Details

Crisis Core is the prequel to the most beloved Role-Playing Game of all time, Square’s seminal PSone stunner Final fantasy VII.

Set seven years prior to the events of FFVII the Shinra Company is rapidly increasing its influence through its monopoly on mako energy and military might. With the burgeoning city of Midgar as its base, Shinra is on the verge of establishing dominance over the world.

In Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII you take on the role of Zack, a young member of Shinra’s private army, SOLDIER. As the game begins, Zack is sent to Wutai to bring an end to war – but will soon find himself embroiled in the fates of SOLDIER 1st Class operatives Genesis, Angeal and the hero known the world over as Sephiroth.

Detailing the events leading in to Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core is one of the best, most powerful experiences on PSP.

as a reply to tom alcock, crisis core is a totally different experience altogether, its more action/adventure rather than rpg/turnbased. i still found this pleasing though, i have completed it once and now feel that i understand how cloud's memories exist. its an amazing prequel, sephiroth and angelo are vital characters in this story and it also gives you a background to sephiroths soldier days. i love rpgs but will be play this again and again, worth £15 of your money to get a backing story to the original.

i dont have this version of the game, but i downloaded the original version of the game from psn recently and obviosly its still as amazing as it was when it first came out. Just wondered if it was worth buying this version though if i have the original. Has anyone played both that could tell me if its worth it?

Anyone looking for final fantasy 7 - 2 look away. This is not a follow up in any sense of the word. Both games are definitely worth looking into though. This game follows the hardly mentioned but critically important Zack and his relationship to Cloud the main character of Final Fantasy 7. The story is set in the same world as ff7 but the game play is very different. Zack is the only controllable character in this game and battle is almost seamless from game play, Final fantasy 7 uses turn based battle system and a party of characters it is great to just concentrate on the world from one persons view and experience the world change as he does. Crisis core shows the world how the past was in final fantasy 7 - for players that have played FF7 and thought they knew everything this gives a new look into the world. I recommend this to people who love final fantasy for the story and for anyone who likes an rpg with action and a killer story!!

I`ve nearly the completed the game and I have to say its one of the best games I`ve played in years! The storyline is very deep and the characters are very interesting, the gameplay is excellent and there are tones of optional missions to do. A must have for your PSP! I`ll definately give this game five stars! ^^
