SummaryProduct Details

Blood Bowl is the video game adaptation of Games Workshop's famous board game of the same name.

A brutal team sport unfolding in a parallel fantasy world based on Warhammer and American football, Blood Bowl invites gamers to form a team of players from such races as Orcs, Wood Elves, Humans, Dwarfs and many other fantasy creatures, and launch themselves into battle in the bloodiest of arenas. This strategy sports game combines a fine balance of tactics and bonecrunching action . . .

If you like point and click games then this ones for you, only time I seen this game was a trailer and it looked so good, but after installing I found it to be a point and click game that I am not that much into, I like full control over the players I play, not just click and send him here - roll dice - yes I can now give the Def a push, OK that might sound a bit hash but not by much. Not many games look better in the looks department 4 out of 5, but entertainment wise I score it a 2 out of 5.

If you have even a passing interest in the Gamesworkshop brand then you must have heard of Blood Bowl. The original "NFL with Violence" game that spawned so many others (NFL Blitz, Chaos League etc etc). This is by the same developers as Chaos League and is, without question, the most accurate simulation of a Table Top GW game the world has ever seen. It's almost perfect. A couple of minor gripes (smaller roster than the TT game, very very repetitive commentary) do not at all distract from an otherwise perfect game. The dice rolls have a wonderful sense of randomness as there is as much chance of making a few of the luckiest rolls in history as there is of being knocked-down at 1000:1 odds. The AI plays a good game and the human opponents are, well as variable as any MP game. Excellent. Oustanding. If GW allowed other rights holders to make TT sims instead of action based ones (I'm looking at you nearly every WH and WH40k game) then I could buy three games and die happy.
