This game is still good because this one is closer to the original and the story is nice to follow. if you want better graphics, battle system, and voice-overs, you would want to get the DS version of this game. The storyline don't change much in any versions. Whichever console you have, get this game.

"You Spoony Bard!" A poorly translated phrase in the original FF IV gained popularity - became this game's defining moment, for some - and so was kept in this otherwise largely overhauled and polished rerelease. While still in 2D, the style is neat, and the translation is strong, except where deliberately left. Playing a single main character, you're accompanied by numerous allies and often fight in a team of 5 - very large for a traditional RPG, and fight with the ATB system that was introduced here and has characterised nearly every Final Fantasy since. For my money, this is when the stories and characters in Final Fantasy really began to take off as well, with Cecil's transformation from Dark Knight to Paladin a high point. While still a SNES RPG at heart, this is the start of the true Final Fantasy style seen in more recent games, and is a great way to experience the history of this epic series.

Final Fantasy 4 was on the NES and Ps1 now its on Gameboy Advance which is a good thing because if you couldn't find it for Nes or PS1 you'd be stuck looking for it, but yes you can get on Gameboy or DS when that comes out. The story is about a knight called Cecil a commander of the Red Wings of Baron, but things go bad in his world where Goblz gets a hold of the crsytals from kingdoms across the world and turns your best friend Kain evil and they take away your friend Rosa. So its upto Cecil to save and the world but he's not alone he will get help where ever he goes like Rydia a Summor who can summon beast's or Yang who is a fighter or Tellah a crazy old man but knows powerful magic and many more among the way. The gameplay is in 2D just like in the old days same battle system like other Final Fantasy games but no Limits or Overdrives. The graphics are brill for a Gameboy with those 2D Graphics and the sounding and music is excellent. I really like the Boss battle music(weak type b
